The car will have sophisticated artificial intelligence
Volkswagen does not want to abandon sedan vehicles and it is proof that six months ago at the Geneva exhibition it had presented the saloon of the future as the company sees it.
The future Phaeton, where as consept car has the name I.D. Vizzon is expected to show up in about 2022 with the competition being very tough with opposite cars like the new Tesla model S and S-Class by Mercedes.
The purely electric prototype of the VW will feature a 225 kW (306 hp) engine and a top speed of 180 km / h. Its autonomy will reach 665 km thanks to 111 kWh batteries that will be lithium-ion technology.
Its interior will be technologically innovative by providing artificial intelligence thanks to Microsoft’s HoloLens, where holograms can produce images to passengers while learning from passenger preferences.
Jurgen Stackmann (Head of Sales and Marketing) said:
We want to put the I.D. Vizzion, but not with Standalone Level 5 and Timing is scheduled for around 2022. We did not have a second thought on what kind of drive system we should put in the flagship model, it’s the flagship of our next generation.
