The brand new Nissan LEAF NISMO RC, an electric car that doubled its maximum power and torque from the previous model, made its debut at the CES show in Las Vegas. The car, also featured at Nissan Crossing in Tokyo, was developed by NISMO, Nissan racing arm.
Using its know-how, NISMO has created an exciting model to showcase the potential of Nissan’s zero-emission technology – a key component of the vision of Nissan Intelligent Mobility. With its dual electric engines, advanced battery technology, four-wheel drive and aggressive, refreshed body shape, the car really impresses.
The two electric motors, on the opposite ends of the chassis, manage the power independently on each shaft. The engines produce 240 kW (120 kW each), which translates to 332 horsepower and instantaneous torque of 640 Nm.
It is advisable to measure the power in kilowatts (kW) because this is the power unit because more and more electric or plug-in hybrid models will be launched on the market.
