BMW i7 electric luxury car expected in 2022
BMW extends its range upwards and soon on, Series 7 will acquire its own electric member, where it will be called i7. It will be a large electric sedan that will reflect on the 7 Series and is expected to offer sufficient electrical autonomy that will reach 600 km in the WLTP test cycle.
All the know-how of Formula E, which the German company is already actively involved, will also be used. The BMW i7 will be available in various versions of horsepower and autonomy, and its presentation will probably be somewhere in 2022, after iNext.

It will be based on the CLAR platform of the current 7-Series generation, which will support multiple engine types. For the electric 7 series, BMW will use the fifth-generation battery and electric motor technology released next year in the iNext midsize SUV.
At the moment BMW range is limited to i3 and i8. BMW goal is to launch 25 electric powered models by 2025.
