SEAT will unveiled six electric cars by 2021

Seat entry into the era of electrification will begin with an electric version of the Mii city car later in 2019. The el-Born electric car will then be released in 2020 after the Volkswagen ID hatchback and will become the second model of the group Volkswagen to use the MEB platform.

The Spanish company had planned to initially have two electric cars by 2020 but then, following the general strategy of the Volkswagen Group, it accelerated its plans for electrification. At the same time, he will lead the development of a platform similar to MEB but on which will be based smaller VW Group electric cars and whose price will not exceed € 20,000.

Seat also revealed that in 2018 it was a record-breaking year, with profits after taxes of €294 million, which translates to a 4.6% increase over the previous year and is the best result in the 68-year history of the brand. Operating profit increased by 93.2% to €223 million, while turnover amounted to €9,991 billion.
