The new and promising purely electric Tesla Model Y compact SUV was officially unveiled and is expected to become the protagonist of compact SUV sales. This category is more and more buying from more and more fans. This is in fact the Model 3 Crossover / Compact SUV version.
One of the most important features of the Model Y SUV is inside it where despite compact size it offers up to 7 seats for the passengers, and is a special feature that does not exist in this category. Even the 300 miles of range where offers, you will not find it in another small electric compact SUV.
The exterior design does not have anything shocking and is very close to its Model 3 identity. It naturally has a higher height where Model X is approaching, and its overall shape is quite attractive by giving Tesla’s general identity.
The most affordable Model Y will be the Standard Range that will start at $39,000, but it will come out pretty late in the spring of 2021. It will have 230 miles (370 km) electric range, acceleration from 0-60 mph will be achieved in 5.9 seconds while the top speed will reach 120 miles (193 km/h).
Most powerful version, like Model 3, will be called performance, where it will come in the market in 2020 and will have 280 miles (450 km) of electric autonomy. At an acceleration of 0-60 mph it will take just 3.5 seconds, and the top speed will reach 150 mph (241 km/h). This version will cost to the owner $60,000.
Tesla Model Y SUV version that will feature the 300 miles (483 km) electric range will be called Long-Range and will cost $ 47,000. It will be available in the market in 2020 and accelerates from 0-60 mph to 5.5 seconds, with a top speed of 130 mph (209 km/h).
Interior, although partially revealed through a single photograph, retains the familiar design pattern we met in Model 3. Thus, the 15-inch large screen in the middle of the simple dashboard has the first word here. Also, the cabin capacity of the 1.800-liter Model Y is particularly great with the two seating rows fully folded.
