Leaked images of the new 2020 Opel Corsa-e, the upcoming electric version of the next generation Corsa, just before the official unveiling of the car later this year. The Corsa-e wears an electric motor 136 horsepower with 260 Nm of torque powered by a 50 kWh battery. This offers 330 km of autonomy per charge, with 80% of its capacity charging within 30 minutes using a quick charger.

Also, the Corsa-e will be compatible with the Type 2 and CCS ports and the images show that the connection port will be located at the rear of the car, in the location where the tank’s input from the petrol model. The battery is covered by an eight-year warranty. The charging state can be controlled through the application myOpel, in order to optimize the time and cost of charging.
Opel main goal is to maintain CORSA as an affordable, practical compact hatchback, whether it’s the electric or gasoline-powered version. The 0-100 km/h is done in 8.1 seconds, with its length reaching 4.06 meters. The roof line is 48mm lower than that of its predecessor, but does not limit the space for the head of the passengers.
The standard version of the Opel Corsa-e is to be released in 2020, but the 2021 is expected to release a VXR high performance version of the electric car. Opel will have a total of four electrically powered models by the end of 2020.
