The German company extends the range of EVs and until 2022 Mercedes wants to have 10 electric models, where one of them will be the EQB electric SUV. Mercedes EQC opens a new chapter in Daimler and is the first product of the brand «EQ».
The two letters stand for “electric Intelligence” and merge according to the manufacturer “the values of the brand emotion and intelligence”. According to media sources, Mercedes-Benz has even more success hopes for the future electric SUV EQB.
Designed to produce consistent sales figures, where it will be a compact sized SUV that is based on the MEA modular platform, the very architecture to be used by almost the entire Stuttgart electric series, beginning the corresponding A-Class, EQA.
The 408 hp EQC uses the GLC platform, the average Mercedes SUV series. Thus, the EQC runs on a combustion platform. The Stuttgart manufacturer, says the future of Mercedes-Benz EQB electric SUV will be available with a generous battery, predicting an electrical autonomy of at least 480 km. Mercedes-Benz EQB is expected to start its commercial course somewhere in 2021.
