Volkswagen ID.R was long overdue for the record of a faster round in the Nurburgring for an electric car, and finally succeeded in a very emphatic way, as announced a short time ago by VW.
This unique car, which has already impressed everyone in any race and if it participates (especially in Pikes Peak last year) managed to smash the record in Green Hell, with a time of 6:05.336.
Note that the previous record had the NIO EP9 and was at 40.56 seconds later. In the driver’s seat was the same as Romain Dumas each time while the average speed of the round where the record was made amounted to 206.96 km/h.
The fastest lap in a production car belongs to a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ with 6:44 while the absolute time is at 5:19.5 Was made by a Porsche 919 Evo Le Mans Prototype.
