Airspeeder : Races with manned drones in 2020

The project Airspeeder with manned drones has already started to be implemented but is still in the early stages, where tests are being carried out on scale, with unmanned models. We are talking about aircraft  “Airspeeder ” as the Alauda calls it, measuring 4 meters in length and 3.5 meters in width, with aluminum frame and four arms arranged in the shape “X”, which will be brought by two coaxial propellers, moving from powerful, Electric motors.

The energy will be stored in type Li-Po batteries, with a capacity of 500 kW, while the total weight of the racing, will be 230 kilos, with capacity for speeds of 200 + km/h.

Airspeeder manned drones will be completed by 2020, according to Alauda, who claims to have 10 racing ready to be set up in the starting line of the first manned eight-legged race in history! The first tests of a manned racing drone will begin, according to the company, in November 2019, in the California Mojave desert in the U.S.
