Bentley EXP 100 GT : The ultimate electric limousine

Bentley 100 GT EXP is a giant coupe with an interior limousine. As it is original, it does not matter the architecture on which it is based but I will mention a few numbers to understand the size that we have in front of us. The concept of Bentley has a length of 5.8 meters, width 2.4 meters and thanks to the extensive use of aluminum and carbon, weighs “just” 1,900 kg!

The cabin, on the other hand, can accommodate up to 4 people and is shaped in 3 different ways depending on the appetites of the passengers. The decoration has been made with traditional and natural materials (a typical example of woolen mats, wood 500 years old, copper and glass) but somewhere here we stop talking about tradition and history and start talking about technology of the future.

From the biometric seats that are automatically adjusted “anticipating” the desires of occupants to the “Bentley Personal Assistant”, an artificial intelligence system designed to provide unprecedented levels of luxury “watching” Passengers, recording their preferences and learning to adapt the car according to them.

The drivetrain that could not be not proportional to the rest of the whole. According to Bentley, the 100 GT EXP is equipped with an electric locomotive set called “Next Generation Traction Drive” and consists of 4 electric motors with up to 340 horsepower each which, combined, produce 1,500 Nm of torque. Thus, the large coupe accelerates to 100 km/h in less than 2.5 seconds with its final speed being formed at 300 km/h.

The English firm predicts that over the next 16 years, battery technology will have made such progress that the energy density will be five times the current, so the range of the 100 GT EXP will reach 700 kilometres. And if the driver is not in the mood to operate the vehicle, he can hand over control to the autonomous driving system and enjoy his interior or company while his “personal assistant” takes the reins.
