Hyundai in the Frankfurt Motor Show revealed to the public the 45 Concept. A purely electric prototype with retro influences that works in parallel and as a tribute to the brand’s past. The 45 Concept uses as inspiration for the design of Hyundai’s first mass production car – the legendary Pony and was even named so because it has been 45 years since its presentation.
The “45” in the name of the original, also refers to the 45 degree angles formed on the front and the back creating “a diamond-shaped silhouette that additionally prestates for the design direction of future electric models”.
Hyundai 45 Concept is also a vehicle for developments in technology and how they may be passed on to production. “Camera Monitoring System ” Calls the Korean brand the technology that replaces conventional camera mirrors and on the other hand, the Hyundai “Style Set Free” strategy for the cabin, which focuses on the personalization of both design and of operations.
