Description from YouTube channel DPCcars
The Taycan shares a basic platform with the 2020 Audi e-tron GT; however, each will maintain distinct personalities. Both utilize an 800-volt electrical system that will provide state-of-the-art fast-charging capability. Although the EPA hasn’t issued the Porsche’s official estimated driving range, we’d put that number between 260 and 270 miles for the Turbo and between 225 and 250 miles for the Turbo S. Likewise, the former model makes 670 horsepower and 626 lb-ft of torque and the latter develops 750 ponies and 774 lb-ft. All of that technology is put to the pavement via front- and rear-mounted electric motors, and Porsche could potentially offer a rear-drive model down the road. The company estimates the Taycan will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in less than 3.5 seconds and says it will be able to do 10 launch-control starts in a row without any degradation in performance.
