Plans to have eight electric models in its range, up to 2022
Renault expects a strong demand for the new generation of Zoe, but their range of zero-emission vehicles will soon become much longer. According to Bloomberg, who spoke with Emmanuel Bouvier, the controller of the electric vehicles, the French automaker designs a larger model aimed at the new Volkswagen ID.3 or the Tesla Model 3.
“We are working on developing our range to cover all categories with electric cars. It is too early to say that we will be competing with Tesla, but we are obviously planning to cover a larger market share, ” Bouvier said.

In addition to the new ZOE and affordable K-ZE (China), Renault can benefit from Nissan’s experience in this field, which holds an important piece of market with the Leaf Gen 2. The future of the alliance could see more common components between the vehicles, which should measure at least 12 different vehicles by 2022.
