Volvo announced that it will offer free charge for a year, to buyers of its electric models. This will be done in the form of a refund at the end of the 12 months, which will be calculated on the basis of the average value of the current during this period.
The Swedish car-maker wanting to promote its plug-in hybrid models and give more impetus to the electrical era in which it enters, starting with the XC40 Recharge.

Because plug-in hybrids do not have as much charging needs as pure electric, the money that the owners will save will not be too much. But after a year, a respectable amount will be gathered, while if the daily travel needs they are a few kilometres away, with this Volvo’s offer, they will become almost completely free.
The Swedish target is up to 2025 half the cars in the range to be plug-in hybrid and the other half purely electric, with the XC 40 Recharge revealed a few days ago, to be among the most important models in this effort.
