A few days ago, Hyundai had shown us the sketches of an prototype and hydrogen powered truck. In the North American commercial Vehicles Fair in Atlanta, the Korean company unveiled the new HDC-6 NEPTUNE Concept, a futuristic tractor that can tow big trailers.
At the same time Hyundai Translead, which manufactures truck trailers in America, presented the eco-friendly, high-performance trailer-refrigerator trailer Nitro ThermoTech Concept.
For the preservation of transported goods it uses cryogenic refrigeration system. It can develop cooling temperatures much faster than conventional trailer-refrigerators, while its operation is almost silent.
According to Hyundai, the HDC-6 NEPTUNE Concept belongs to Class 8 trucks, while it moves exclusively with the use of hydrogen. For the design of the inspiration was pumped by the aerodynamic trains of the 1930, while several elements of Art Deco were used.

Notice the large glass frontal surface, the curved shape at the top of the roof and the replacement of the traditional side mirrors with cameras. The lower part of the tractor with the striations is in fact an active mask, while it incorporates for the boarding of the driver hidden steps drawn inward when not in use.
