Lexus UX300e electric SUV with 400 km of range

Lexus UX300e electric will “hit” the markets of China and Europe in 2020.

The first EV production in the history of Lexus revealed in the Guangzhou Motor Show of China, the Japanese company. In essence, it is the purely electrically powered version of the conventional UX series of the Japanese manufacturer, based on the electric Toyota C-HR marketed in China.

Lexus UX300e sales will begin for the markets of Europe and China in 2020, with the Japanese following a year later. The UX300e electric power source consists of a lithium-ion battery with an energy capacity of 54.3 kWh which can be “filled” through chargers at 6.6 kW (AC) within 7 hours or, at best, in a 50 kW DC charger in just 50 minutes. This ensuring in accordance with the Protocol NEDC autonomy of  400 km.

The UX300e’s electric motor is mounted on the front, yielding 204 horsepower and a torque of 300 Nm. At present, the Japanese factory does not announce details regarding the performance of the model, but we will probably know just before the official Commercial launching in local markets.
