Since 2020, the Opel Vivaro-e will also be offered as a pure electric.
Customers will be able to choose between two battery sizes, depending on their needs. The new Opel Vivaro-E will be available with a 50kWh or 75kWh battery for autonomy up to 200 km or 300 km respectively, according to the WLTP protocol.
The handling of emissions-less deliveries is becoming increasingly imperative in urban areas, while demand for purely electric light commercial vehicles is increased accordingly.
The Vivaro-E is based on the highly flexible EMP2 platform of the group, which allows the use of conventional and electric drive systems. Vivaro-E extends the range of efficient light commercial vehicles of Opel. The next electric LCV – the Opel Combo-e – is expected in 2021.

CEO of Opel, Michael Lohscheller said
“Opel becomes electric and all Opel models will become electrically powered by 2024. Customers will be able to choose an electrically powered version from each model series. Electric LCV will be particularly important for the critical ‘ last kilometre ‘ within urban areas, whether it is a personnel transport vehicle or a VAN delivery. For this reason, I am very pleased that the Vivaro-e will be available from the next year, while electrically powered versions of Opel Combo Life, Combo Cargo and Zafira Life are expected in 2021“
