Coronavirus crisis affects 2020 Geneva Motor Show

Coronavirus crisis begins and affects more and more global events and the 2020 Geneva Motor Show is no exception. And officially now the famous car show won’t open the doors this year.

The cause was the spread of the coronavirus and the preventive measures taken by the governments of the countries to contain it. In the past few days there has been a strong rumour about whether or not the 90th Geneva Motor Show will take place.

So far in Switzerland, nine confirmed cases of coronavirus have been recorded. Following an emergency meeting this morning at the Swiss Federal Council, it was decided to ban large concentrations of at least 1,000 people in the country until March 15.

The announcement highlights that the first priority is the protection of the population from coronavirus crisis. It is also noted that the organizers will return the tickets that have been sold. Automakers have also been asked to leave it up of the showroom by March 7.
