Norway EV sales for the month of February 2020 again showed the dominance of full-electric vehicles (BEV). In fact, in the top 10 in the rankings, eight were pure electric cars. The Norwegian car market may make bigger jumps in 2020.
For second month the Audi e-Tron SUV dominates sales in Norway. But the surprise comes from the VW e-Golf where even now it manages to deliver a number of cars that bring it into second place.
Thus, the Audi e-Tron with 1171 units occupies the first place, while in second place impressive sales was achieved by the VW e-Golf with 755 cars. In third place, the Nissan Leaf shows signs of recovery with 484 units.
Fourth place occupies the first plugin hybrid, Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV with 395 units. A remarkable run for the Kia Soul EV, which took fifth place with 365 cars, while the Hyundai Kona EV took sixth place with 347 units. In seventh place we find the BMW i3 with 309 units.
In eighth place, the Renault ZOE is moving somewhat sluggishly with 262 units, followed by the Hyundai Ioniq electric with 237 cars. In tenth place the Volvo S/V60 PHEV managed to deliver 231 units.
In Norway EV sales YTD results e-Tron is by far at the top with 2073 cars and a market share of 16%. VW e-Golf impresses again after taking second place with 1252 units and 9%. In third place the Nissan Leaf feels Renault ZOE’s breath with 850 cars and 6% share.
