The Nissan Kicks e-POWER, a brand new sub-compact SUV that has an electric powertrain but is not electric! Confused? Will be available exclusively with Nissan’s E-Power technology. Kicks will be the first Nissan to have this technology outside Japan.
Nissan Kicks e-POWER SUV delivers the award-winning e-POWER technology features an electric drive train with a battery where charged by a petrol engine. Thus, the wheels are powered exclusively by the electric motor – the 1,200 cc three-cylinder petrol is not connected to the wheels, so it does not move them.
In addition to the petrol engine consists of the EM57 electric motor, a generator and a inverter. Because the wheels are powered exclusively by the electric motor, the models equipped with e-POWER offer the same smooth, direct acceleration and powerful performance as a purely electric vehicle.

The combined performance of the revamped Kicks hybrid propulsion system reaches 129 PS and 260 Nm, there is the possibility of driving “one pedal” as in fully electric models such as the Nissan Leaf. E-POWER models offer the same smooth, direct acceleration and powerful performance like a pure electric vehicle.
The 1.57 kWh lithium-ion battery in the brand new Nissan Kicks e-POWER features four units, providing smooth acceleration, quiet rolling and good fuel consumption. In a deceleration phase, the electric motor goes out of service and the battery is charged through energy recovery until the car is fully immobilized.
