Skoda ENYAQ iV electric first camo photos

Skoda ENYAQ iV will be called the company’s first pure electric car and already the first photo camo posted. The electric SUV will be based on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform for pure electric range.

The model’s name comes from the Irish name “Enya”, which means “source of life”. Enya’s etymology comes from the Irish word “Eithne”, which means “substance”, “spirit” or “beginning”.

Its features promise a highly interesting electric car, with SUV philosophy, four or rear-wheel drive, three battery-sized options and autonomy that can reach as much as 500 kilometers. Along with the photos, Skoda also gave all the details of Enyaq iV.

The model’s unveiling takes place on the streets of Ireland, where the Skoda SUV moves in camouflage covering its dynamic lines. In terms of its dimensions, it is 4,648 mm long, 1,877 mm wide and 1,618 mm high. The wheelbase is 2,765 mm, a price that promises to be wide inside, while the volume of the luggage compartment is 585 liters.

The Czech brand’s full electric SUV will be available in its basic version with an engine that sends power to the rear wheels. The most powerful versions feature a second electric motor mounted on the front axle, making the model four-wheel drive.

The basic model is the Skoda ENYAQ iV 50, with a 55 kWh lithium-ion battery. The rear electric motor has a power of 109 kW (148 PS), offering maximum autonomy of up to 340 km. The ENYAQ iV 60 of 132 kW (179 PS) will have a 62 kWh battery and a range of 390 km.

The Enyaq iV 80 will have a 204 hp and 310 Nm of torque electric motor. For 0-100 km/h it takes 8.8 sec, with the top speed reaching 160 km/h. It is equipped with an 82 kWh battery with the autonomy increasing to 500 km (WLTP).

Skoda ENYAQ iV electric

The same battery is also used by both versions that are AWD. Thus, the Enyaq iV 80X and Enyaq iV vRS yield 265 and 306 horses, with 425 Nm and 460 Nm of torque, respectively. For 0-100 km/h it takes 7 seconds. and 6.2 sec. respectively, with the top speed of the vRS reaching 180 km/h. The autonomy of both AWD versions is up to 460 km.

Inside the technology dominates, with the large 13-inch screen “smartly” mounted on the dashboard. The model also offers modern connectivity and entertainment solutions. The car is permanently connected to the internet and ensures that all applications are always up to date.

Skoda ENYAQ iV electric can be charged in three different ways.

  • The conventional 230 Volt household socket with an AC output of 2.3 kW
  • During the night at home or at the office using a Wall Box, with a power of up to 11 kW. Using this, charging takes six to eight hours, depending on the size of the battery.
  • In a 125 kW DC fast charger, the Enyaq iV battery recharges from 10% to 80% in just 40 minutes.

The Skoda ENYAQ iV will be manufactured at Skoda’s main factory in Mladá Boleslav, on the same production line as models based on the MQB platform.
