Peugeot e-208 finished first in electric cars race
In Lithuania, the Peugeot e-208 took first place in electric cars racing
In Lithuania they have organized races for electric cars for 6 years already now and a Peugeot e-208 was the winner in the last race. Performance is clearly not the first issue in an electric car, as what concerns its driver is autonomy in real-world conditions. Of course performance is an important feature but the most important thing is not to be immobilized by battery.
The 22 zero-pollution vehicles were divided into two groups, depending on their battery capacity: up to 50 kWh and more than 50 kWh. The Peugeot e-208 prevailed in the first category, with a crew of Vitoldas Milius and Aidas Bubinas. The aim was to travel 300 km without charging in as little time as possible.

Finally the winners with the e-208 distributed 305 km in 3 hours and 59 minutes, with an average energy consumption of 13.6 kWh/100 km. Very close to the price announced by Peugeot based on the WLTP cycle: 13.3 kWh/100 km. In the second category (with a battery of more than 500 kWh) the target was 500 km and that is where Porsche Taycan was the winner.
