The Renault ZOE 2020 was tested in the evasive manoeuvre test or else Moose Test from the Km77. Renault’s small pure electric car has achieved remarkable behavior after successfully overcoming obstacles at a speed of 73 km/h.
At first the testers of the km77 chose to make the first pass at the speed of 78 km/h. At that speed the driver initially dropped two cones and therefore did not press the vehicle in the last section in order not to continue throwing cones. That is why the effort did not continue.
As mentioned above the Renault Zoe managed to successfully pass all obstacles at a speed of 73 km/h. As explained in km77 the car rests without noticeable bounce, remains close to the outer limit of the second part of the cones and the under-steer does not prevent the vehicle to execute successfully the final section.

The first pass we did at 78 km / h and without knowing how the car was going to react. We throw two cones. The driver saw that it was not going to be a valid shot, so he did not force the vehicle into the last section with the aim of not continuing to throw cones, so it goes straight towards the edge of the track.
The successful pass that we managed to make at the highest speed is this, at 73 km / h. The car does nothing out of the ordinary. The body rests without noticeable bouncing, it stays close to the outer limit of the second section of cones and understeer does not prevent the vehicle from getting clean in the final section.
All the passes that we show are with the change in position D, that is, in the one with the least retention. The brake lights come on as an indication of the actuation of the electronic aids, not because the driver is pressing the brake pedal.
In some of the passes we made at 74 km / h, the ZOE responded with a slight oversteer, that is, with a slight lateral slip of the rear wheel axle.
In the following attempts, at 79 and 81 km / h, this reaction is better appreciated. This oversteer is easy to remedy partly because it appears progressively and partly because electronic aids prevent it from becoming dangerous.
The body movements of the ZOE in this test feel slower and wider than, for example, those of a Peugeot e-208. Steering is also slower. All in all, the ZOE has safe reactions in this exercise and there is no hint of the oversteer we experience in dodge. The electronic aids intervene early and do not allow to circulate between the cones at high speed.
