It is very likely that the Renault 5 & 4L classic names will return as full electric thanks to Luca de Meo and while the French company will soon reveal the future recovery plan. Renault is trying in a more general reorganisation to achieve better results in sales growth.
And the revival of classic names would be a good start since two of them are the legendary 5 and the 4L. The 4L, a city car launched in the 1960s as the awe rival for the classic Mini and the Fiat 500 will be “reborn” as electric for the new era of the company.
On the other hand, the Renault 5 was a front-end car for its time, where it began to be sold in the early 1970s. Two generations of cars were produced after being replaced by a well-known Clio in the 1990s.

As is logical there is no more information about the new two models but very likely to use the same platform as the Renault ZOE. Of course, the use of the alliance’s new CMF-EV platform where it will use the new pure electric Megane eVision is not excluded. The electric crossover is expected to soon pass into production.
