The new VW ID.3 1st Edition is already on the streets of Europe with quite a lot of acceptance from buyers. Volkswagen’s new pure electric Hatch has dimensions similar to a Golf but has a special ID on the outside that makes it stand out from The Volkswagen Group’s thermal engine models.
VW ID.3 1st Edition has a lithium-ion battery with a total capacity of 62 kWh but with 58 kWh available to the user. The energy from the batteries is channeled into a 150 kW (204 PS) electric motor and the torque is 310 NM. It can accelerate to 0-100 in just 7.3 seconds while the top speed is 160 km/h.
Its autonomy according to the WLTP measurement is at 424 km but in real conditions this number is somewhere close to 350 km. Also with a 30 minute fast charger the ID.3 can take the necessary energy for 250 km.
In the video below from YouTube channel DrivingCars, you can see a POV test drive of Volkswagen’s new electric hatchback. As you will notice in the video, the quietness of the interior of the car on the route where it is a characteristic of electric vehicles in relation to thermal motor vehicles is impressive.
