Porsche Taycan achieved new Guinness World Record

Porsche Taycan has managed to achieve a new Guinness World Records inside one of the longest buildings in America. This particular event took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, and at the steering wheel was a professional racing driver, the Leh Keen. So the Tycan Turbo S managed to achieve a maximum speed of 165.1 km/h thus making a new Guinness record of maximum speed in an interior building.

In order to ensure the maximum adhesion that the car will have, the tyres had warmed up before the sprint and were the original . Tycan’s headlights were also removed because the car would have to qualify for the Record.

The strongest Porsche Tycan turbo S can accelerate to 0-100 in just 2.8 seconds, has a top speed of 260 km/h while electric motors have a total power of 560 kW (761 PS). The torque reaches an impressive 1,050 NM and the lithium-ion battery has a total capacity of 93.4 kWh where 83.7 kWh is available.

It should also be remembered that the previous record was held 10 years ago by Tanner Foust where he driving an Ford Fiesta rallycross reaching total speed of 140 km/h.
