The commercial course of the new Hyundai Ioniq 5 began with the right after it became Sold out within less than 24 hours after all 3,000 copies of the launch version literally “disappeared”.
Hyundai’s new pure electric hatchback was unveiled about a week ago and is the vehicle of a new era in electrification for the Korean manufacturer. As announced by the company, the demand for the 3000 copies of the launch version was three times the supply, in less than 24 hours.
And considering all 236,000 pre-orders from European customers, it shows that the new pure electric Ionic 5 will evolve into one of the major cars of the giant Korean manufacturer. Note also that this number of pre-orders is higher than any other new model at launch.

Hyundai’s new electric Crossover is based on the new Electric-Global Modular Platform, where all future models of the company and KIA will use it.
As was already known, the Hyundai Ioniq will be available with two battery options, with a capacity of 58 kWh and 72.6 kWh. For the smaller battery the autonomy was not announced, but the larger one will offer with a charge of around 470 km (298 mi) in the WLTP cycle.
