New electric Mercedes EQS drive review | Video

The new electric Mercedes-Benz EQS will be officially unveiled in a few days and only recently the German company gave more information about the new large pure electric sedan. This is a brand new generation of Mercedes-benz cars where we will offer impressive performance and autonomy that will reach up to 770 km.

The new EQS will be available in two versions in particular the first will be the EQS 450 Plus where it will have an electric motor on the rear axle while the second version EQS 580 4Matic will have four-wheel drive thanks to the two electric motors (one per axle). The maximum torque will be 568 and 855 Nm respectively, while in both cases the top speed is limited to 210 km/h.

The new electric Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+ will have a battery with a useful capacity of 90 kWh while the next version EQS 580 4Matic will have a battery capacity of 107.8 kWh. As Mercedes-Benz announces, both versions adopt an innovative cooling system with maximum charging power on a fast charger of up to 200 kW, while at the same time both versions are covered by a 10-year warranty or alternatively for 250,000 km of vehicle use.

The exterior design of the German company’s large electric sedan will offer an impressive aerodynamic drag factor where in combination with the 19-inch wheels it will reach 0.20. This performance is better than all its competitors with an electric or internal combustion engine. Tesla has said the recently revamped Model S has a drag factor of 0.208, while the corresponding number for the new Lucid Air is 0.21.

But what makes the difference is that the new Mercedes-Benz EQS will use the new EVA platform, which is exclusively advanced for Electric vehicles. This new platform adopts a skateboard architecture that gives great configuration capabilities.
