Toyota is preparing for the European market a pure electric SUV that will belong to the middle class and is expected to be unveiled in mid-2021. Toyota’s new electric car will be based on the new modular e-TNGA platform where it will support a whole range of EV along with Lexus and Subaru vehicles.
It was recently leaked through the EU Intellectual Property Office, which manages trademark rights, the name of the Japanese company’s electric SUV model, and its logo. This will be called BZ, and will be manufactured at Toyota’s ZEV factory in Japan.
Toyota is considered a pioneer of hybrid systems since it was the first company in the world to apply them to almost all of its vehicles starting with the Prius. Wanting the Japanese company to play an important role in the era of electric mobility will reveal this year the electric model based on the popular SUV category.

The new Toyota BZ is expected to be unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show which will open its doors on April 21 while the car’s shape externally has been leaked through patent photos for a few months now. The pure electric SUV will be manufactured in Japan, and more details are expected to be revealed soon.
