The Volvo XC40 Recharge to be released in 2022 will be improved in terms of range. Each charge of the vehicle will give more mileage to the driver, at least by 7.2%.
Volvo has announced that there will be changes to the 2022 model compared to the XC40 Recharge currently in circulation. The driver is estimated to gain at least 30 kilometers on each charge. The changes will concern both the mechanical parts and the wheels, as the 2022 model will be equipped with 19-inch wheels rather than 20-inch wheels, as is currently the case.
Volvo did not give details of the technical changes it will implement for the best range, but it should be noted that the company is focusing on improving the characteristics of the Recharge platform, with changes that will affect the entire range of its electric vehicles.
Early reports also suggest a price increase in the Volvo XC40 Recharge, which may well imply that there will be more complete equipment and technical changes for the better to justify the price increase.
The XC40 Recharge is Volvo’s first electric four-wheel drive version, unveiled on October 16, 2019. Based on the Volvo 40.1 Concept of 2016. Volvo, after the all-electric Recharge, plans to launch a new electric vehicle every year and is committed to making half its range fully electric by 2025.
