VW ID.4 vs Tesla Model Y electric SUV review, video

The VW ID.4 and Tesla Model Y are two pure electric compact SUVs and are expected to hit hard in the sales arena since Tesla has the upper hand in electric vehicle sales but on the other hand, VW wants to outperform the American company, at least from 2025 onwards.

The VW ID.4 electric SUV was launched on September 23, 2020, and the front lights are reminiscent of the design of the related ID.3 where they are joined by an LED strip that runs through the grille. At the rear, the lights have three-dimensional LED graphics that turn on and off in formations when starting the vehicle, and they are joined together by an LED strip. The MEB platform is common with the ID.3 but the dimensions are increased offering better spaces for passengers.

The Tesla Model Y has already started to be available in the European market since the autumn and is the fourth mainstream model of the American company after the “S”, “X” and “3”, constituting essentially a more practical and “taller” version of the Model 3.
