The software that feeds the IVI system was developed by LG in collaboration with Renault and is based on Google Android Automotive. It is the first software developed by LG using scaled agile framework (SAFe), a set of principles and processes that help large organizations adopt flexible methods to develop and deliver high-quality products and services faster.

This software works independently of the vehicle’s hardware, aiming to provide a variety of functions that facilitate the user, such as the ability to update the operating system and remotely control the charging status of the vehicle.
In addition, LG’s IVI system is the first android 10-based system to receive the Google Automotive Services (GAS) certification. The platform offers intelligent information and entertainment services and easy access to various Google applications, such as Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play via the Central Information Screen (CID).

With its sleek, intuitive touchscreen and comfortable user experience, the system leverages LG’s growing potential as a vehicle solution provider, meeting the different needs of today’s drivers and making car travel more enjoyable.
