New Ford F-150 Lightning is available with 131 kWh battery

Ford has announced the battery pack with which the F-150 Lightning will be available, with the 131 kWh one making the difference. In this version, the range of the electric pickup can reach up to 300 miles (482 kilometers) on one charge.

The standard version will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 98 kWh, which will offer a range of 230 miles (382 kilometers) on one charge. The available versions of the Ford F-150 Lightning are standard, lightning pro, XLT and Lariat. The larger battery comes with the words Extended Range which means that it is the much larger battery.

Ford has also announced some indicative prices at which the F-150 will be made available in the US market. Thus, the Standard model will start at $39,974, while the most expensive version is expected to be at $90,000 in the US.

From January 2022, the first orders for the new model will have been opened, which will start to be launched from the US market.

The Ford F-150 Lightning is a purely electric, battery-powered light truck unveiled by Ford in May 2021. It is part of the 14th generation Ford F-Series. Four models have been announced and all models will initially be dual-engine, all-wheel drive, with EPA range estimates of 230–300 mi (370–480 km).
