Is electric scooter Yamaha E01 in final test stage?

The Yamaha E01 electric scooter shows spy photos being tested in Japan, proving that it is not only a prototype but a model that is likely to take shape.

Although the photos circulating show a model with heavy camouflage, the desire of the Japanese to emphasize that it is a two-wheeler with the latest technology led to a “face” reminiscent of their flagship, namely the YZF-R1.

Beyond that, the E01 is visually a typical scooter, bringing quite a bit to the popular in Europe and Asia, NMAX (from the pantentes that the Japanese patented last year, we already know that the chassis is similar to that of conventional scooters with internal combustion engines).

The screen has a very minimal and retro aesthetic but let’s not forget that these photos are about a preproduction scooter and all this is very likely to change until it comes into production.

The E01 has 13-inch wheels, while disc brakes at the front and rear, key-less start and will probably have two riding modes. Other information has not been leaked yet and the range is expected to reach 80km on a charge.
