The Porsche Taycan enters the Guinness Book of Records, becoming the electric vehicle with the fastest stop for charging in the U.S.
With stops of a total duration of 2.5 hours, the Porsche Taycan traveled from the East to the West Coast of the United States.
The test was conducted on November 12, 2021, with a Porsche Taycan that started in Los Angeles, California and arrived in New York, covering a total of 4,561 kilometers.
The Porsche Taycan made 18 stops for charging, the total duration of which did not exceed 2 hours, 26 minutes and 48 seconds. Practically speaking, the Porsche Taycan made one charging stop every 252 kilometers or so.
The previous record for a similar route was 7 hours and 10 minutes, which shows how much electric cars have evolved in a very short time.

Porsche points out that it did not make any modifications to the Taycan that did not differ from a production model in terms of battery and autonomy.
In any case, this test, in addition to the Guinness record for Porsche, proves that long journeys with an electric car are more feasible by rapidly covering the main disadvantage they have compared to vehicles with a thermal motor.
