Tesla Model 3 is the best selling EV in Greece for 2021
At the top of the rankings was the Tesla Model 3 and is officially the best selling EV in Greece for the year 2021.
With the state subsidy program of the Ministry of Environment and Energy “I move electrically” where it was in force for 2021 (for 2022 there is no information) the registrations in pure electric cars reached 2,190 units.
Their share in the total Greek market for new passenger cars in 2021 is 2.16% (it is worth noting that by the end of August the share of electric cars in the total Greek market was at 1.7%).

It is also noteworthy that in the D-class category, where models of the mid-range are involved, the Model 3 managed to be in the 2nd place and very close to the top, regardless of engine type and fuel.
The BEV (battery electric vehicle) model that ranked first on the commercial table that lists electric cars is the Tesla Model 3, with 522 units.
As far as companies are concerned, Tesla also ranked first in the registrations of electric models, with 598 cars.

In second place was Volkswagen, with a total of 340 registrations of electric cars. The top three is closed by Peugeot, which follows with a total of 280 electric cars. In fourth place is Fiat, with its 117 classifications of the electric 500.

From the new year, when the re-announcement of the “I move electrically” program with additional incentives is expected within the first quarter, it is predicted that the registrations of pure electric cars will increase further.
