Women’s World Car of The Year: These are the candidate cars
Women’s World Car of the Year is a Global institution that elects the best car of the year and the best models in six sub-categories, every year.
The winners are not cars aimed at women, but the selections of the panel of judges, which consists exclusively of women who are actively engaged in car journalism.
The institution was created in 2009 by New Zealander Sandy Myhre and the voting criteria are based on the principles that guide every buyer when choosing a new car, such as safety, quality, price, design, ease of driving, benefits and environmental footprint.

In order for a car to be included in the voting list, it must have been released on at least two continents.
The six categories are: City cars (with a length of up to 4.4 meters), Family SUVs (from 4.4 to 4.6 meters), Large cars (over 4.6 meters), Large SUVs (over 4.6 meters), Pick-up & 4×4 (regardless of size) and Performance cars (regardless of size).
By February 4, the 55 female judges from 40 countries will distribute up to 15 points to three models in each category and the six winners will be named. In the final phase of the voting, the judges will highlight one of these six models as the Car of the Year for 2022.
A prerequisite for every judge to vote for a car is that he has driven it.
