Tesla: Giga Berlin production postponed until March

Until mid-March, the opening of Giga Berlin, Tesla new production plant in Berlin, is postponed, as so far the competent local authorities have not given the necessary approval regarding the safety measures provided for by law.

More specifically, in a report by Reuters, it says that the approval procedures required to start production will not be completed until at least next month, while Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk, in a Twitter post, announced that he will visit the Berlin plant in mid-February.

For his part, a spokesman for the state environment ministry said that “we did not specify a specific date for the start of production”, but stressed that “the processes are in their final stage”, while a representative of Tesla in Germany did not respond to the agency’s request for comment.

Some Tesla Model Y have gathered in a parking lot outside the factory after Tesla approved to build up to 2,000 test cars, some of which have arrived in Norway and Sweden.
