The new cheap electric car of 4,850 euros by BAW

A new very cheap electric car proposal in China, is the pictured Yuanbao model of the BAW company. Its main goal is to pull customers out of the directly competitive and highly popular Wuling HongGuang Mini EV.

Design-wise, the BAW Yuanbao follows the local standards there, such as the squared lilliputian body with its “cute” touches. Specifically, it has a length of 3,162 mm, a width of 1,498 mm, a height of 1,585 mm. and a wheelbase of 2,050 mm, while stepping on 13-inch wheels.

• When does an electric car stop polluting the environment ?

According to the dictates of the time is its interior, dominated by the two large screens of 10.25 inches each and compose a single panel, as well as the complete absence of physical controls. Despite its very small dimensions, it has seats for four people and a rather minimal trunk.

Depending on the version, they are available with two versions of batteries, with a capacity of 9.6 kWh and 13.6 kWh. The factory mixed range reaches 120 and 170 kilometers respectively.

It should be noted that a few days ago the EU ratified the decision to completely ban the sale of new ICE cars from 2035 onwards. However, in the huge market of China, electric cars have penetrated for good and many models are being sold, which, however, do not come to the Old Continent (except in a few cases).

As for the prices of the new BAW Yuanbao in China, they will range between 33,900 to 49,900 yuan (exchange rate 4,850-7,140 euros).
