Hyundai Ioniq 6: Safest Big Family Car for 2022

The Hyundai IONIQ 6 Electric was named by Euro NCAP as the “Safest Big Family Car for 2022”. This is a big distinction for Hyundai by demonstrating the tremendous progress it has made on the latest electric models.

The IONIQ 6 had recently achieved a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP safety tests. Hyundai’s electric earned the highest possible rating in the categories “Adult – Passenger”, “Child – Passenger” and “Safety Assist”

The European New Car Rating Agency Euro NCAP announced the highest ratings for the past year, after rating 66 new passenger models. The new IONIQ 6 continued the successes of Hyundai’s electric models, after being named the best in the “Safest Big Family Car” category.

In a statement, Vice President of Marketing and New Product Development, Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, said: “This latest recognition of the value of the IONIQ 6 proves that it is one of the safest electric cars on the European market.

Hyundai is committed to providing all drivers with the highest level of safety, while at the same time offering innovative solutions for enjoyable and enjoyable driving. The recognition by Euro NCAP underscores Hyundai’s leading position on the path to the automotive of the future.”

To promote the IONIQ 6 as the “Safest Big Family Car 2022”, four areas were rated: “Adult Occupant Protection”, “Child Occupant Protection”, “Vulnerable Road User Protection” and “Safety Assist”. The total score also defines the basis of evaluation of the vehicles. The rating is only for models that have basic safety equipment.
